Faithful one

Faithful One, so unchanging

Ageless One, You’re my rock of peace,

Lord of all I depend on You.

I call out to You, again and again

I call out to You, again and again.

Let’s sing it again

Faithful One so unchanging

Faithful One so unchanging

Ageless One, You’re my rock of peace,

Lord of all, I depend on You.

I call out to You, again and again

I call out to You again and again.

You are my Rock in times of trouble

You are my Rock in times of trouble

You lift me up when I fall down

All through the storm your love is the anchor

My hope is in You alone

Sing it again

Faithful One so unchanging

Faithful One so unchanging

Ageless One you’re my rock of peace,

Lord of all I depend on You.

I call out to You again

I call out to You again and again

I call out to You again and again.

You are my Rock in times of trouble

You lift me up when I fall down

All through the storm your love is the anchor

My hope is in You alone

You are my Rock in times of trouble

You are my Rock in times of trouble

You lift me up when I fall down

All through the storm your love is the anchor

My hope is in You alone

Seek and hide

I’m sure most of us have played the game ‘hide and seek’ during our childhood days. It’s a very simple one – you hide and then someone has to find or seek you. πŸ™ˆπŸ˜Š

In Psalm 63 David starts by saying “O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you…”. But as you read further in verse 7 he says “for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy”. The psalmist knew he was hidden and well protected in the shadow of God’s wings. Yet he still seeks for God. For he knew that the more you seek him the more you become like him.

What are you seeking today? Are you still hiding from God? Remember there is no place you can hide where God can’t find you. In fact God came seeking for you and me in the person of Jesus Christ the Son of God. And I’m so glad that he found me! Hallelujah!

Be still…

God’s plans for us are well known to Him. Sometimes we may unknowingly or even knowingly go against His plan, but by God’s grace He will guide us back.

As I’ve been studying about prophet Elijah since a few days, I’m reminded as to how even after literally bringing down from heaven, he ran for his life thinking that he was the only prophet of the true God remaining alive.

I love the way God speaks to Elijah… In a still small voice!!!
(Refer to 1 Kings 19:12)
Not in the strong wind, nor the earthquake or even the fire but in a still small voice.

For Elijah to hear God speaking to him in a still small voice he first had to be silent and still himself. That’s exactly what God wants us to be – STILL & SILENT. Only then will we be able to hear God speak to us.

Elijah finally learns that he’s not alone. In fact God had kept safe 7000 people who remained faithful to Him.

So if you’re facing a mountain of a problem ahead or even a tiny one just be still and let the Lord handle it!

Have a wonderful day! God bless…!πŸ˜‡πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸ™πŸ™Œ

Look to the Lord

Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always.
1 Chronicles 16:11 NIV

When we look to the Lord He gives us His strength as we seek Him and rely on Him.

To look, to fix your eyes or gaze upon ‘like the people of Israel “looked” at the bronze serpent to be healed’ means to completely trust in the Lord.

“So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, they lived.”
Numbers 21:9 NIV

Now we look at our Savior Jesus Christ for salvation. Yes, he is our Redeemer from Sin, Satan and Spiritual death.

Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith who……… is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Hebrews 12:2 KJV

Praise the Lord!

He is able

Just a reminder πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜‡

He is able more than able
To accomplish what concerns me today
He is able more than able
To handle anything that comes my way
He is able more than able
To do much more than I could ever dream
He is able more than able
To make me what He wants me to be

He is able more than able
To accomplish what concerns me today
He is able more than able
To handle anything that comes my way
He is able more than able
To do much more than I could ever dream
He is able more than able
To make me what He wants me to be
To do much more than I could ever dream
He is able more than able
To make me what He wants me to be

Bringing in the sheaves

Those who go out weeping, carrying seed to sow, will return with songs of joy, carrying sheaves with them.
Psalm 126:6 NIV

1. Sowing in the morning, sowing seeds of kindness,
Sowing in the noontide and the dewy eve;
Waiting for the harvest, and the time of reaping,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

Refrain:
Bringing in the sheaves,
bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing,
bringing in the sheaves;
Bringing in the sheaves,
bringing in the sheaves,
We shall come rejoicing,
bringing in the sheaves.

2. Sowing in the sunshine,
sowing in the shadows,
Fearing neither clouds nor winter’s chilling breeze;
By and by the harvest, and the labor ended,
We shall come rejoicing,
bringing in the sheaves.

3. Going then ever weeping,
sowing for the Master,
Though the loss sustained our spirit often grieves;
When our weeping’s over, He will bid us welcome,
We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves.

In the presence of the king

Lord, let your ear be attentive to the prayer of this your servant and to the prayer of your servants who delight in revering your name. Give your servant success today by granting him favor in the presence of this man.” I was cupbearer to the king.
Nehemiah 1:11 NIV

How would you feel if you were employed in a palace? And that too in a very important position. So important that the king trusted you with his life. Nehemiah was a cupbearer to the King of Persia – Artaxerxes – the son of Xerxes. Trust was hard to find even in those days. One of the cupbearer’s duties was to choose and taste the king’s wine to make sure it wasn’t poisoned. So the king relied on Nehemiah.

History says that Xerxes the father of Artaxerxes I was killed in his own bedchamber by a courtier. But Nehemiah was a worshipper of the true God. So when he heard that there was a problem back home in his city he prayed to the Lord Almighty. After a period of 4 months of earnest praying and fasting he approached his earthly master the king for permission. Even though Nehemiah was a favorite of the king, he would not have rashly blurted out his request.

The king noticed that Nehemiah was sad. No matter what your personal problems were, the king’s servants were expected to keep their feelings to themselves and always be cheerful in his presence. Nehemiah could lose his job or even be killed for this behavior.

When Nehemiah honestly tells the king the reason for his sadness, the king not only gives him permission to go but also gave him letters to all the provinces which Nehemiah would have to pass through to get to his destination. The king also gave him the wood and other materials required to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah thanked God for answering his prayers!

1) Nehemiah first recognises that there is a problem. Then he prays about it. Nehemiah knew his God is greater than his master the king.

2) Then Nehemiah confessed his sins and the sins of all the people of Israel as they had disobeyed God and were now in bondage by the ungodly nations.

3) Next he carefully inspected the walls himself and planned how to go about with the task of rebuilding. And yes he prayed about it too.

God wants us to pray and be specific about what we need. Also when we commune with our creator it’s important to know and believe that God knows the situation – the past, present and future.

Nehemiah was consistent in his prayer life. Chapter 9 and verses 5 to 38 of the book of Nehemiah is the longest prayer in the Bible! God worked miraculously and the walls were built in just 52 days! Inspite of opposition not only from the outside but also from the inside.

The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
1 Thessalonians 5:24 NIV
