But God remembered Noah……
Genesis 8:1 NIV
After a hundred and fifty days God had not forgotten Noah and his family. The whole world had been wiped out but God saved Noah and his family because they remained faithful to God.
Even before the flood Noah is described as a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time and that he walked with God (Gen 6:9) just like his great grandfather Enoch.
Gen 8:11 The dove brought back a “freshly” plucked olive leaf! Fresh meaning ‘new’!!
Gen 8:13 By the “first day of the first month” signifies a new beginning, a new chapter in the history of mankind.
Just like Noah, we have been given a new life through the death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are a new creation, born again in the newness of Christ.
Read 2 Corinthians 5:17, John 3:3, 1 Peter 1:3
2 Peter 3:13 reminds us of a blessed hope. Our future is secure!
Remember to thank God for his love and compassion which are new every morning! (Lam 3: 22-23)
Amen:)
